Having some ignorance in this area of these ancient civilizations, I looked into some of the names in your book. In particular, Pacal Votan, led me to some rather obtuse writings. As a reasonably educated person, I found it absolutely amazing how much verbiage is used to explain the Mayan concepts of time. Particulary incomprehensable was the "Law of Time". Being a scientist I follow scientific laws and associated definitions but these "spiritualistic" concepts do nothing to explain this law and other concepts, at least certainly not to me. Laws usually have some sense of reasonable explanations (possibly excluding that generated by politicians) and logical conclusions. Even governmental laws have some logic, although it may take the Supreme Court to clear it up. I just don't follow how the average person can possibly follow the logic in any of these ramblings. I was just amazed at some of these people's writings with no clear understanding of what the hell they said. I did enjoy your book with the possible exception of the ending. I suppose I was looking for something more scientific rather than spiritual. Regards
