Subject: Answer to Rick's question

Dear Rick,

Thanks for writing and for the support. For me writing is an avenue to get away from the pressures of our high-tech industry. I typically write for an hour or two most evenings and more on weekends. I've gotten to the point that I can very easily switch my mind from AMD to writing and viceversa such that I can give both 100%. Although I hope one day to be able to write full time, I often wonder if that alone would be technically challenging enough to keep me fully occupied. Writing in the mode I do it today, however, does come with a price since I have to give up most of my evening activities, including watching late-nite talk shows, movies, etc, but I think in the lont-term it has been a good tradeoff. By the way, most writers out there (aside for the Clancys and Grishams of the world) have a "day job" to make ends meet.

God bless,

R.J. Pineiro
